Yes, I have recently installed StepMania. I know how to get other's songs into the game, but how do I make my own arrows for a song? People say you need the music file and another file (which I think are the arrows) to put in the songs folder of the program. Will some one tell me how to make arrows for my songs?

If you want to put in a new song, just make a new folder, have the music file and a *.sm or *.dwi file (it can be an empty file, but it needs the extension to work), and put it into SM like you would a complete song.YOU JUST WON THE GAME! CONGRATULATIONS! -

In the Stepmania folder, there should be a subfolder named 'Program.' Go there and run SM Tools and Package Exporter. Click on Create Song at the bottom and then choose the mp3 of the file you want to step and it will create the *.sm and *.dwi files for you....Comment

after you've saved the prepared .sm file and you have your mp3, go into editor and press 1,2,3, or 4 to lay arrows.

Go to your Stepmania folder and run the "smpackage" program. It will take you to the Stepmania tools main menu and go to "create song". Choose whatever song you want to add in to Stepmania, and it will automatically create a ".sm" folder in the "My Creations" foder in the "Songs" folder. Then run Stepmania, go to edit/sync songs and look for your song in the "My Creations" song group. Once you're in, press F1 to show you all the controls to create and stepchart for the difficulty you making it in.Comment
