maybe I need new keyboard drivers or something?

ever since I got this new logitech keyboard I've been getting housed trying to play stepmania and DWI (both have this problem)

it gets pissy when I touch more than 2 keys at once, and in fact wno't even respond to Freeze arrows sometimes unless I make sure I'm nowhere near any other keys

Songs that involve 3 or more arrows at once are impossible with this keyboard, it just won't take the input

short of buying a new keyboard is there anything else I can try to fix the input problem?? maybe new drivers or something?

my old keyboard was a logitech as well, just a different model... I did not have this problem

(when it doesn't accept the input, it has the tendency to make the case speaker beep for whatever reason)

    thanx

I always thought it was the mother board that only accepts some amount of keys...

Well, for me I've noticed a few things:

    - Depending on the keyboard, a different combinations of keys work at the same time (sometimes upto 10 or so)

    - Some applications take moreinput than others (wierd)

    - It depends what keys you play with...my numpad only supports 4 at a time, while the typing area took 11 at a time (according to stepmania test option thingy in the alpha's)

So, yeah... it's a number of things, you might want to try some other programs, or something, maybe get a different version of SM....

it has nothing to do with the version of sm...3 arrow keys at the same time will not register on your computer...this has nothing to do with you motherboard either...its just the keyboard...however im not too good with electrical signals and such and i think it would be diffcult to change the signal sent by the keyboard...why dont you use your old one keyboard...

          It is the motherboard.

            It isn't the motherboard.

            Its 100% the keyboard.

I've had the same problem with certain keyboards. Get a different one, thats the only solution really.
