Making your own nonstop and challenge courses

I am really confused on making nonstop or challenge courses. can somebody please help me? Can you even make them?

I'm pretty sure you cannot make them because in Step Mania the categories are prechosen with songs you have already uploaded.

I checked other forums, and you can. you make a .crs file with notepad and put it in the courses folder under samples. it took a while to understand how to do it though.
