    Buying o2jam songs

This seemed like the most appropriate place for this.

I'm lvl 20 at o2jam now and seeeeem to be able to rack up gems pretty quickly now. I just wanted to know which songs that I can buy with gems, are actually fun and worth buying? I don't want to waste my points on ones that suck so your input would be greatly appreciated!

    Any song suggestions?

I wouldn't mind getting some info on this either, I'm level 17 (but I rack up jams at an incredibly slow rate) and I'm looking for some new songs.

Working on FCing HX3 Fly Magpie.

    Great fun this game is!

Don't buy Bling of the Bumblebee, it sucks. Save 60,000 gems for buying Gaussian Blur. If the rate of getting gems quickly you say is 20k a day like me, you can buy it in rough 3 days.

        Re: Buying o2jam songs

If you like the Japanese boy band type song, then get chiisana hana.

The overall best songs are Csikos Post, Run 4 U, and Let me Dance.

If I had to put an order from best to worst song wise for Gem songs (discluding I love Dokdo, o25, and salary rider) it would be:

        1. Run 4 U
        2. Csikos Post
        3. Let Me Dance
        4. QTSA
        5. Zap! O2mix
        6. Gaussian Blur
        7. CHIISANA HANA
        8. Deviation
        9. Bling of the Bumblebee

However, all the songs on the list are quite good except for Bling of the Bumblebee (which is terrible even as a joke).

I already posted this on the DDRCanada thread but meh. >_>

            Fixed your post for you

Every song that you can buy with Gem all pertain to unique tastes, so the list would probably be very different for everyone.

CHIISANA HANA is if you like japanese vocal rock.
            Gaussian blur is fast piano.
Run 4 U is very hard to describe, it's light house techno with a bit of guitar.
Csikos post is classical piano, but the chart is just fun to play.
QTSA is for people that like DJ Potatoe's work.
Zap sounds like a video game, very comparable to burning heat.
Deviation is hard techno with plenty of bass and blunt sounds.
Let me dance is kind of generic to most of the better techno in o2jam.
Bling of the Bumblebee is just garbage.

Like TehWhack said, it all depends on your personal preferance. Opinions are varied and probably different from what would be suited to your tastes. So just find out what you like for yourself. You can do this with O2Mania:

For a guide on setting it up:

You require registration to look at the thread. If you don't want to bother with that I'll just quote the main settings you'll have to apply to have the program load your songs.

Setting O2Mania to find your songs:
You need to set the directories of your songs before you play though (which is done by clicking the menu option above File>Exit):
              - For O2JAM, select the game's main folder (../O2JAM/), NOT the /Music/ folder.
Assuming you downloaded the some 1Gig OJN/OJM torrent, all gem songs will be available to you.

If you downloaded the torrent all songs period will be available in o2mania.

Either way, I put lotsa gems on your account and I'll gift what you can't buy to you.

                    F11, and select Direct2D instead of Direct3d.
The middle button there is also fullscreen.

More than likely isn't the problem, but if you have any Anti-Virus software that is set on Real-Time protection you'll have to disable it when you play O2Mania, since that'll screw with it. A lot.
