    what the F**k

okay i am a quite avid player of stepmania and was playing it one day and when it activated it closed and gave me an error that my video card wasn't good enough; now usually i'd get pissed and sooner or later buy a new video card. But i was playin git earlier taht day so what could have happened for that to happen?

ok, first thing, I might suggest putting this in the stepmania forum, for more people who know about stepmania look through there

and about the video card thing, i believe it was just a simple electric charge that threw your card off. try removing it, and putting it back in. That might help

this is what it STILL says

"There was an error while initializing your video card.

PLEASE DO NOT FILE THIS ERROR AS A BUG!

              Video Driver: RADEON 7000 SERIES

              Initializing Direct3D...
Your system is reporting that Direct3D hardware acceleration is not available. Please obtain an updated driver from your video card manufacturer.

              Initializing OpenGL...
Your system is reporting that OpenGL hardware acceleration is not available. Please obtain an updated driver from your video card manufacturer."

so im havin my comp people try screwing around with it.

also i think what happened is (see my parents are retarded with comps) so i think one of them must have reset it with the power strip switch; could that mess it up?

Try reinstalling Direct3D and OpenGL if possible. There may have been an update of either of those types of hardware accelerators, or your computer my be corrupt (AKA you probably have to get another computer)

Reinstall your drivers, they're available on ati's site.
