Just because you don't want to hear about it doesn't mean other people don't want to talk about it. You can't just ban topics of discussion (besides stuff like the former secret songs) just because you're uncomfortable with the idea of religion.

The best view on religion in general is:
If you're uncomfortable with it, don't try to rid the world of it.

Okay, about the religious topics:

People will never agree on religion. And as a result, people will begin to offend others. Arguments will errupt, and people will start hating each other all over some imaginary...I mean....uhh...oops. Naw, I'm just kidding. God would want me to add humor to this not so very humorous topic.

Anyways, because religion just tends to cause debate and flame wars (mainly because people cannot follow rules), it is best not to post topics concerning religion. As in this thread, it was just a simple poll asking what religion you are. And I am fine with that, because there really isnt anything to debate over. If you all would have just followed the rules, everything would have turned out all right....
