Questions on getting a pad for my stepmania

I'm interested in buying the $20 MadKats dance beat pad for PS2 with the Sector7 Playstation 2 to USB adapter($15). They are both in CAD.

My question is will it work with stepmania? The sales clerk knew less than me.

HA! For $20 you might as well just shadow in front of your comp.

It will be garbage I garantee it.

Well I don't really care that much about the price as long as it works for sure.
      $20 isn't that cheap, I found a pad on Lik-Sang for $9.99.

$20 is extremely cheap. If you're going to get a pad, make sure you spend at least 50 bucks on it, that way it'll at least last. Pads work fine with stepmania, and if you get a USB adaptor, there should be little or no setup needed system-wise.

I have a pad since a week or 2, also with an usb adapter, and it works fine with stepmania

you have to press start + select + up for approximately 3 seconds, then it should work. If it doesn't react, go to the control panel and check the "game controllers", and you can test it there.

Thats about all the problems I had

Real thats only for 1 USB adapter. Maybe there not getting that one. Cause I know thats for smart joy. I would at least buy a pad for $50 or higher cause I bought a cheap one just to learn and I got pretty good in like a weak and I broke the whole thing.

I don't know if Sector7 brand supports left+right and down+up simulataneously. I can't seem to google any information on them either.

OK if I do get a pad I'll try to get a better one. Would a wireless one be better or worse?

There's no better value than a metal pad. They work 1000000x better, they last longer and they are more accurate.
