The newest stepmania wont work

I cant get the newest version of stepmania to work because

"This application has failed to start because MSVCP71.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

I dont know how many times you're supposed to reinstall it, but apparently 6 isnt enough.. Any help anyone?

Now I've screwed it up myself.. I cant seem to find the options panel, it has pretty much dissapeared, I was tinkering with them before and now its telling me that playing is free.. which as far as I'm concerned is good but I still wanna take it off :P How do I get back to my options?

wat u mean 3.9rc3? i just got this version yesterday becuase ive nvr played SM. this game ROX!!!, but all i did was download it and it said start aplication so i did and it started.

if you are using the default theme it should be the third selection from the main menu. What did you do when you were "tinkering"?

I dont know but now I can not get to anything but the game lol
