Where do you look on the screen?

I've always wondered about this.

For me, I tend to look directly at the stationary arrows and peripheralize the arrows pretty much right up until they hit, but I understand that some people look at the middle of the screen where the marvelous timing is and whatnot as well...

I've found that looking lower in the screen will increase the speed at which you can read, but decrease accuracy. Your observations?

Exact opposite for me.

I look at both. I usually start off looking at the stationary arrows, then when I start getting tons of perfects I look down.

i look at bottom of screen and my accuracy is terrible

I look at the center/lower portion because I read the arrows better and it helps me prepare for everything. and my accuracy is kinda ok, cause once i see that im gettin marvs/perfects n stuff i stay at the center.

Sometimes when I play a really hard song I'll be looking fuked up, not even on the screen sort of =\

But normally at the very bottom I guess, I kind of go up and down really.

In stepmania I look beneath the arrows about half the way down to the timing and when I play DDR I just look at the whole screen.

The lower you look, the more time you have to see the arrows and can therefor prepare faster, but, because there is more time you can forget the patters more, making your accuracy lower.

The higher you look the less time you have to remember the arrow patterns which helps you hit them more accurately, but, you have less time to react to the arrows, this reduces your speed.

Looking at the middle means you win.

Oh I forgot to mention. When you look away from the screen you fail immediately.

I look at the Marvelous area and stationary with my peripheal(?sp) vision.

I stare at the combo/timing area. Thus, I blow ass on blind. I need something to focus on, as well as seeing my timing.

i follow them up from the bottom, when i get to many keys my eyes go crazy!
