well i have currently a black and it feels a bit weird, but the taps of a mechanical keyboard feel somewhat good, you have to put more effort than with a normal kb and the clicking sound is very loud, i don't use it for sm anymore but for 7k/6k is nice

You have to put more effort because black switches require the most force to actuate the keys than any other switch. If you get reds, you'll notice it requires barely any effort which could be bad for gaming as you can easily hit the wrong keys. Black switches will definitely cause fatigue if you go on typing marathons, but just WASD'ing all day with the occasional other key presses will be fine.

Once again, probably the worst choice for SM/FFR though.

I have this keyboard too, it's pretty awesome. Took a while to get used to, but the keytaps are so satisfying. Not sure if my roommate agrees with me about the keytaps though :P

Based off the StepMania session I had with my new brown switch keyboard (CM Storm Quickfire Pro), I can definitely say that it's good for accuracy—it barely took any effort for me to completely re-adjust my timing to this keyboard when originally I played on a flat rubber dome.

I can't really say much about speed at the moment because I'm super rusty from not playing, but I'll say that pressing the keys during a stream is easy and effortless, which saves stamina due to the little resistance of the switches.

Hopefully tomorrow I'm picking up the Das Keyboard professional w/ blue switches. on sale cyber monday for $95 from $130, yes please.

Never played on a mechanical keyboard before, so this should be interesting. I'll let you know how it plays.

I might buy one soon. But I don't know which to buy...I'm considering either a WASD or a QPAD MK-50.

I don't know if I will be able to, because I don't think mechanical keyboards are sold around where I live. That means I'll have to either order mine online or by phone.
