I find most of my files rubbish, off-sync, with choked steps. Except for a few, as Session 9 -Chronicles- ; but they're quite rare.
I usually have a strict idea of what I want once I'd be done with the file, the pleasure I get from ending this depends on how it sticks to what I wanted in the beginning. There's a special spirit, a special atmosphere I want to put in them, I don't have the occasion to meet a success everytime.

I enjoy all my files and play them frequently because I step files for me. The only files I step that I don't like are the ones that don't come out how I imagined they would

Considering how normal hating another author's file while liking your own, have you ever considered the reverse? When I played some of my old charts, I go 'DA FUQ WERE YOU THINKING, DOOD?!' even if its something decent like Mirage Garden.

Is this normal?

I'm never really fond on how my files usually turn out, but usually just because I'm really picky on trying to make it as good as it can get.

Files I make that I don't like don't get released. Except for maybe a couple old ones.

Nearly all of my non FFR files are actually pretty bad but I made most of them in a different era where different styles were the norm (index friendly shit)

I actually hate TGWP but nearly everyone thinks its one of the best files I ever made. I kinda think its because of the syncing job that people say that though

I always find some kind of fault with the most of my previous files when looking back at them after some while. Although my suimen shizuka ni daichi no retsujitsu watarasete and rebirth the edge are the definition of perfection.

there are things that I want to change in every old file of mine but that doesn't change the fact that most of them are still pretty fun 8)

that said, I HATE these files:

100 sec. kitchen battle!!

basically everythin pre-Xoon 4 except like Procrastination on a Paper (sentimental value), Electrical Parade, Society of Nonconformists, MAYBE evergreen and Roar...

Vanity (srsly this file could flow much better. the middle sixteen and ending with the piano are still great, but the long-freeze stuff and first half all need revamping)

Sunset Rider (ew)

Night Jam (actually I don't hate this but playing through this it seems like I tried too hard. if we're talking about Phlogiston songs something like Croqel which is...chunkier for lack of a better word is a better fit for my style, but the thing about this file is that it should play a lot more nimble than it is. idk I seriously might restep this)

Black Horizon (I should have tried harder on this, tbh)

Alien Temple (maybe I just shouldn't have stepped this at all. I rly wanted to and it's about as good as it could be though)

UEMP stuff save The DETONATOOOOOR isn't the greatest stuff I've made
