RANT: This score proving bull is getting ridiculous.

No, seriously, every time I go to the brag boards, it's "OMG YOU SUCK AT X SONG BUT DO GOOD ON Y SONG? WTFHAX U CHEATER." It's reached the point where you're required TO SHOW A ****ING VIDEO of any decent accomplishment. Not only that, you're required TO SHOW THAT YOU HAVEN'T MESSED WITH THE SETTINGS OR THE FREAKING INI FILE. My god. Pretty soon the only way to prove anything there will be to have three sworn witnesses watch you play and sign a legally binding contract.

Yes, people post fake scores once in a while. Big freakin' deal. No one's allowed to be good at this game anymore without going to extraordinary lengths to prove themselves. And you're only allowed to be good if you have a webcam. Otherwise, anything decent you do is fake.

I think that the brag board needs to be dismantled and thrown in the garbage. Seriously.

I agree to this because it's just become a place where new people are all liars, and you have to of been a member of this community for 6 months and have shown your screen shotes as you were getting progressively better..

It is agreed that someone who has the ability to get 6 greats on caprice, should be able to just as good if not better on sextacy.. there is one difference in the songs though... THE DOUBLES.. doubles for some people are a lot harder than for others, I, myself, can do the long streams in caprice with little difficulty, but on a song like sextacy, it throws in those doubles every once in a while and it trips me up.. So, for me to not do as good on sextacy, but I am able to do good on caprice.. does that make my scores BS?..

Or maybe someones family can't afford a video camera/webcam, and there comp sucks too bad to use front cam... Is it impossible for them to be able to do better on a song tahn say, arch or nima??.. No.. When was it decided that a persons family wealth decides a persons ability to do exceedingly(sp?) well on a game...

I agree to get rid of the brag board, atleast until everyone can stop being so damn stuck up about other peoples "claims to fame"..

omg thank u 87x and SeanH... i completly agree on all the statments in this thread... for a long time now Me,myself and RobbyZero have been accused of "cheating" due to the fact of his and my accomplishments.

Tho i did have an incident some time ago when i foolishly slowed down arrows on ffr. I addmited it and promised never to do this again. AND I HAVENT!! this incident happend at one of my friends house, wich i havent seen in about a month. And the computers i have are incapable of runing any type of recording device. I can somewhat understand people douting me... but plz i assure u, i do not cheat in anyway.

I would just like to be know as a good player... and i am trying me best to get videos of myself.

Anyways for now i agree to pospone any further psting in the brag board until people grow up

You guys don't get it. I've busted my ass for hours nearly every day for over a year to get to where I am now, so when people come along with scores that match mine with nowhere near the amount of work I've put into things, I get frustrated. It means a lot to me. I'm glad that people have been more skeptical about scores, because it gives me more of the respect I deserve. Almost every single BS call by the forums has been accurate.

I understand what you are all saying, but even I agree that video proof should be needed to help prove the validity of accomplishments at my level, and even I have yet to show video proof. Now that says something.

i dont think it's just the brag boards. i think alot of people (well, maybe just the major posters) on these boards are real jerks, always calling people newbs or calling their scores BS. i dont even do anything terrible and i get flamed, and sometimes people will make small, honest mistakes and get flamed up the ass by what seems like half the senior members. it really needs to stop, both on the brag boards and on the rest of the forums.
