SM5 Speed mods and Arrow Position

Alright i'm relatively new to SM5, i've been using SM 3.95 for as long as i can remember.. But i decided to make the switch.

But there's two things i don't understand that i guess are different

The first is the speed mods, how do you add them? It's obviously different than in SM 3.95's metric.ini and i'm aware that the simple Speed mods.txt no longer has any use in SM5, I also went to that coding google SM page, but it was pretty much hieroglyphics.

The second, can you move the arrows to the middle of the screen?

Pretty basic questions but i've had no luck finding anything :[
Any advice will help.

Speedmods should be a txt file in the folder under Data I believe. Just kinda add what you need. Not sure about the other one.

edit; Yeah, SM5 folder --> Data --> SpeedMods.txt

mine looks like this:

0.5x,1x,1.5x,2x,3x,4x,5x,6x,7x,8x,C250,C450,C650,C675,C700,C725,C750,C775,C800,m550


edit2: reread your op, wait the speedmods.txt has no use? How does mine work then?????

Yeah mine is set as 2x,3x,4x,5x,6x,C650,C700,C725,C750 but i recently read that that no longer is used, so although that has that written, in game it's still default :[

2. I don't think centered is incorporated into SM5 yet, rr they hid the option like they've done with a few other options.

Center 1 Player is still in SM5. Go enable it in the options.

Found it Thanks, now i just gotta figure out the damn speed mods, startin to hate 3x and 4x hahaha

speedmods: %appdata% / Stepmania 5 / Save / LocalProfiles / YourProfile / speedmods.txt, so yeah each profile has it's own speedmods

Haha how do i get to that folder though, that's the part that i thought was foreign.. :P
I don't understand the route to get to localprofiles

write %appdata% in your window explorer :P. It should go to C:\Users\youruser\appdata\roaming

my computer has gone against me it has no appdata or roaming D: Thank you SM for making this 100x as complicating as it could be hahah -_-

In that SS where it says "Search Results >" and "Search Results on Elijah's Computer >"

click there so it changes to where you can type, and copy paste %appdata% in there and hit enter. should take you to the Appdata --> Roaming folder

Then go down to SM5 --> Save --> Local Profiles --> then it should be under your profile thing

Make sure it's set to "Show hidden files, folders, and drives" on your folder option since the appdata folder is usually hidden by default.




or alternatively try:
Start -> all programs -> stepmania -> open stepmania settings folder
