Well probably about 2 weeks ago...our arcade finally got Guitar Freaks (it's a small city, so it's pretty damn amazing for us...) Well anyways, this just made me thought "pfft...I can play on the home controler, what difference wil it make?" and so I tried. Whoopideedo...25 seconds into Hypnotica and I've already failed...I can't seem to pick (picking or bleh whatever you call it) properly with the actual thing...=\ any tips?

Wel.. i have been playing guitar freaks for about a month and here is my experience.. I find the best way to do "accurate" picking is just to use your thumb and strum downwards.. you are sure to get more perfects and it is also decently fast. For a much much faster, but far less accurate picking method, put your thumb and index finger together, and open it a little bit, then strum down with your thumb, and up with your index, you can acheive very fast speeds with this, but it is somewhat innacurate.
When i play i use only my thumb.. and i can do songs around 60-70 difficulty on 4x speed.

If you want to pluck fast and accurate, move your thumb and index finger up and down like you are strumming a real guitar. It might look stupid when you play the faster songs, but you look just as dumb playing Para Paradise!

You have to hold the indicated button (red, green, blue) and hit the pick once the indicator reaches the top.

I can play up to about level 60 on Extreme.. Drum Mania it's about level 87.
Tips..? I don't know, I use my thumb on the pick though.. but that's hard enough. Some people grab the pick with their index and middle finger + thumb, and just move the pick up and down like that. It's really hard to do it that way though, and I only use that if there's a big jack coming up.
