I played this when I stayed in Cali for a bit this summer. I got instantly addicted, but now I'm back in VA where there is no machine anywhere for many miles. ><
I actually have been wanting to try to convince some arcades to pick up the machine, but I'm not really very confident of my chances. I'm armed with some promo materials, but the music game scene here seems to totally suck. Anyone happen to have any recommendations? Also, go try to get it in your local area too >:O

I shoot eye beams at the things I hate and make them explode! (Yay!)
So Happy! Smile! Hello! It's a picnic every day
There's lots of happiness in my pocket
So let's play forever~

If rhythm gaming sucks around your spot, then it'll be hard to convince them. Most I can say is e-mail PM Studios and ask for ways to convince your local arcade to get a Technika machine. I also want to know where in cali

my local arcade is a haven for SFIV and Tekken (fighting games) and racing games..
but not rhythm games
we only have one ITG machine
it's going to be hard vouching for a rhythm game machine (let alone technika..)
I went with my boyfriend in SoCal. I played at Boomer's in Irvine, as well as at Anime Expo. Never got to go to AI.

I actually talked to PM Studios about this a bit at AX, as well as Eddie from Bemanistyle. PM Studios gave me some promotional flyer things to assist me, and I also got Spiritsnare's fan-made Technika guide. Apparently it's a very cheap machine, and with the whole Platinum Crew thing it's a very interesting thing to pitch, but even if I bust out my most convincing pleas I don't know how receptive anyone's gonna be when the best people can usually say is "oh is this like DDR?" =(

Say, "it's not just DDR. it's fuccen DJ MAX NIGGUH."
Seriously, tell them it's completely different technology. btw, I wish I could play the International version... I ran out of songs to play (I beat all the songs in Technical and Popular).
