    FFR v. Guitar Hero series

I was recently arguing with a friend on weither Guitar Hero or FFR was harder to play. I thought Guitar Hero was Harder for the fact that you have to do two things two make a note register compared to FFR where you only have to hit the arrow keys. Yes FFR has more notes but if you add more notes to guitar hero it becomes rediculous. Just ask my friend who constantly gets beaten by double notes in battle mode .

Guitar hero = has more notes, but having to do 2 things to hit a note is actually easier than it would be just to hit the fret, that way you can do pull offs and such.

      ffr.
I don't even think about strumming when I play guitar hero. My thumb just automatically does it every quarter note when playing.

FFR no contest. Been playing FFR for nearly 3 years...(ok really only a year, due to 2 busted computers and moving) and I'm just now starting to be able to FC challenging songs. I can 5* nearly any song in GH3 on expert, and have 4 100% in expert mode. And I've only been playing Guitar Hero for about a year or so.

Re: FFR v. Guitar Hero series

          meaningless.

One game engine is not "harder" than another when the two engines have entirely seperate mechanics for play. It's like, well...asking whether Halo or Final Fantasy is more difficult to "do well" in. What the hell does that mean? It's entirely subjective. The answer winds up being whichever game has higher standards for "doing well", which, in FFR's case, don't even exist at all. FFR's only objective method of feedback is the character emotions, and that system is so obviously terrible that it can't even really be used.

FFR cannot be "beaten" as GH can, so you can't even make that comparison (which would be a more reasonable one).

I would wager that it is harder to AAA every single FFR song than it is to optimalize score in every single GH song. That's the only reasonable comparison I can think of, so...yeah. FFR is harder because it's harder to AAA vrofl than it is to accomplish anything accomplishable in GH.

          I guess.

I play both, a LOT & I would say they are both equally hard, just FFR takes more time to get good at. As in, FFR has multiple levels of difficulty, versus Guitar Hero that has 4. I can barely play difficult on FFR & I started way before GH & I can already play hard almost expert XD

So, it's not a competition, they are both fun games, just pretty different.

I was thinking along the lines of Shash, in the sense that no way can these two be compared properly. They're only similiar because they're both music games.
