Help me Stepmania Pros!!

So i just downloaded stepmania.. and here is some questions for you :

1. when i failed a song its always made me go through the whole begining of chosing the single option and chosing between beginner ,heavy and blahblah.. is there anyway i can directly chose another song when i fail ??

2. i wanted to know wich judge difficulty is the best ?

3.and i play reverse , without mines and w ithout holds.
is there anyway i can keep those option.. cause when i fail or when i exit stepmania.. i always have to set those options.. wich is annoying..

1. in gameplay options turn failoff.
2. judge 4 (or more, no less)

For #3, I think you might be able to set your default stuff in the options menu (Gameplay options). For #1, choose coin options and select event mode. For #2, just use your preferences. I'd recommend getting used to holds, mines, and normal scroll.

If you want a fresh start, and be able to get good.
Play on Judge 6-7

But play Judge 4 for your scores.

Higher ones for improvement.

1.) Options -> Coin Options -> Event Mode ON.
2.) It depends. Judge 4 is average; higher judges allow for improving, while lower judges allow for easy AAA'ing, which equals fail, if you do. =\
3.) Those options should automatically save for you. Try going to the options screen when picking a song; that may work for you. (Select a song, press start twice). Otherwise, I don't know how to fix that situation, as my options always saved automatically for me.

the answer for number three would be to fix that under options as well i believe make a custom profile in your name and it should save them under that will brb in 30minutes to check n exactly how to do that

Oh yeah, that's correct. For the third question, you need to create your own profile. I COMPLETELY forgot that; oh well.

1. Go to coin options and turn event mode on, that allows infinite play and also during the song options turn fail off if u want to freely play a song after dieing.

2. Judge 4 is the standard judge and should not be lowered, you can make it higher though.

3. If you make a profile then your custom options stay the way left, however it is highly discouraged to take holds off.
