Woah.

I just went to put my order in for the premium Ion kit.

300 for the kit
50 for "cymbal expansion pack"
40 for "drum throne" (i.e. adjustable stool)
40 for "double kick expansion pedal"
360 for the brain to function as a standalone kit
112 for shipping

Sucks. That's 902$ for the whole shebang. I think I'm gonna have to drop the brain and stool first. Is there any chance the cymbal expansions for the basic kit are identical? Is there any chance I'll be able to pick up a method of double pedal at a standard retailer for less than 40 ****ing dollars? I'm rockefeller and ****, but even I don't to drop nearly 1k on what is basically a super powered controller. Even dropping the stool and brain, it'd still be 502 which still sucks. And over 100$ for the damned shipping... the basic kit isn't even that much, I'm sure.

You're gonna spend over $500 on Rock Band. Jeez, i could get like 20+ games for that =P. I <3 Rock Band and all but that's just overpriced. Yes like all of u dorks out there too, I can do everything on Expert =.= . But that's not important because I'm sure all of y'all can do Expert too =P.

The three songs not making the cut?

"Paranoid" as made famous by Black Sabbath, “Run to the Hills” as made famous by Iron Maiden, and "Enter Sandman" by Metallica. And in Europe the track Tokio Hotel’s “Through the Monsoon” won't be exportable.

We know why Metallica isn't making the leap. Maybe the same holds true for Sabbath and Iron Maiden?

Kinda lame, but it could definitely be worse in my opinion. And at least Metallica is justified in not making the leap due to them being contracted to only be on GH or some bull****.

If you're referring to DLC, then I think you misunderstand the meaning of "transfer". When you download a track, it saves the file of the track to your harddrive. The engine that runs RB1 reads the file on your harddrive and plays the file. RB2 simply has the same ability to read the same format file that RB1 does. It's not that your DLC is transferred from RB1 to RB2, it's that the file is readily readable by both games.

But when you install the songs from RB1's disc onto your harddrive, you're changing the format. You're not simply using RB2's engine to play existing files on your harddrive, you're patching RB1, then downloading files off of RB1's disc into a new format that is readable by RB2.

You still aren't understanding.

DLC IS NOT TRANSFERRED.

Unless by "the others" you mean the other tracks on the RB1 disc. They had to make a new deal for each of those tracks. That's why there is a charge for it; to cover the new license deal they had to make.
