    Dance Mania

    I just played this bizzare game at my arcade yesterday. It's a really dumb idea. I simply couldn't belive that Bemini would make something as absurd as that.

    For those of you that don't know, Dance Mania is a game where you use your hands above and below two sets of lasers (that you can't see).

    However, I can't remember if it was called Dance Mania or Dance Maniac, someone please correct me.

      ive played that game a lot. its really fun. especially fast songs.
      it has songs like Paranoia. but i dont know about how they made it here in the usa. ive only played in the phillipines

          Japanese release = Dance Maniax
          Korean release = Dance Freaks

          Yeah, it's a game I could never really get into. It had really, really cool songs in the later J-Append versions, but the game play never really grabbed me. The sad thing is supposedly Konami had huge plans for the game and it was rumored that not were home versions planned for the series but there were also rumored schematics for a Konami-made game that combined Dance Maniax with DDR for EZ2Dancer-style game play (hands + feet). Could have been interesting, but, personally, I'm glad it never happened.

                          It's where all the old DDR games got their music from. But yeah, it's pretty fun.
