and no, i don't expect people to answer this. this is the last time i post anything in the forum. because everytime i do, i get mocked by someone who thinks they are better than me in some stupid way. so i'm just sticking to playing ffr because when i'm on the forum, everyone mocks me. I thought real seniors were supposed to help those who are new, not mock them.

I wouldn't think using the bar is all that bad, I always use it when I go to the arcade, which is like once a year.

If konami put the bar there, then it isn't bad. I use it on those hard songs like cartoon heroes and max 300. And anyways, the seniors probably mock you just to have a little fun. They do that to most juniors anyways. As soon as they mock you once, they probably would go find someone else to mock. The reason they mocked you last time because you posted a thread for people to add you in the FFR renosance forum, which is not the best place to post a thread like that. Think about it.

Bar use is considered bad when it is the only tool used for balance. For easier songs, it's there for support in case you lose your balance, until you can really get used to your center of gravity and stay upright on your own. For harder songs, it's there so you can maintain balance when your legs are moving at such a high speed, that it's difficult for anybody.

Therefore, if you use the bar during an easy song, you're only admitting that you never learned how to keep your own balance on the game. You're taking the easy way out, instead of getting used to the game as originally intended.

I think that using the bar is allright even though I don't do it unless I'm trying to play like a 10 footer. I never used it before because I thought it was there for tricks, but correct me if I'm wrong.

The bar can be used for tricks.....but it's there to help you pass hard songs, like Max 300. People get upset when you can pass a song alot but you still use the bar---It's harder to pass it W/O it!


And it's NOT wrong to use it........even on easy songs

No, the reason the bar is considered bad is because people look at it as a tool that cripples your growth as a player. By using the bar, you are falling back (no pun intended) onto something that makes the song easier and makes you look weaker instead.

You can find plenty of people around the world who can do songs like PSM and not even need a bar. Hell, I DON'T need a bar but I DO use a bar because it helps get my accuracy up and keeps me balanced.

To end it, I say to you to just say, "**** it," to the world and keep playing DDR. THe ones who have the elitist attitudes are the ones who usually suck in the long run. However, you WILL need a bar in ITG2. The medium leveled songs in that game are like 10 foot songs on DDR. And I love it. XD
