    Question about "M"

I'm not positive if this is the right place to post this, but I've been going crazy about this song.

I'm not sure if it's from DDR even, or if "M" is the full title, but i really want to know what is the piano music in the background. I've been searching for it all over on DDR songlists, but I can't even find it. The only place I did see it was when I downloaded it from bemanistyle for stepmania.

I would be sooooooo thankful if some brilliant person out there knew the song name/artist of the piano music, not the actual full song, and would be wonderful enough to tell me.
    Thanks

    Re: Question about "M"

I assume you're referring to the song in the keyboard megapack.

That's one of the movements from a song called Moonlight Sonata or Sonata Claro De Luna. It is by Beethoven. I'm pretty sure it's not in any version of DDR.

And another movement of the song is featured in FFR in the classical genre under the name "Moonlight Sonata".

      Thanks for replying!

I just now found out that the song is from Beatmania, not DDR, and created by DJ Taka (woo!) But I still don't know what the piano in the song is...

Are you sure it's Moonlight Sonata? I know that song and this would have to be a really sped up version... could I possibly send you the song and see if you can tell what it is? You seem to know what you're talking about....

It is definitely Moonlight Sonata. You may or may not have all of the movements.

Okay, you're right, thank you guys soooo much. My mind is at peace. I finally found a description of the song at Urban Dictionary and it was Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata 3rd Movement.

            Uh...no..

The song was never in beatmania and whether or not DJ Taka made it hasn't been confirmed. Some say it's just a fan remix.

also, the "remix" is basically just the actuall 3rd movement (not rearanged), but sped up, and with some drums thrown in.

It's not really sped up much, the song is meant to be played fast. Most of the expression is taken out in favor of a constant beat though, go listen to Arrau's recording and you'll see how much expression is in it.

Don't be fooled by Arrau's slow playing, he is an extremely fast pianist, he is in fact so fast that he had to work on slowing himself down. Since he had to learn how to slow down, he has gained unbelievable technique which makes him one of the best pianists. His Islamey is nuts too.
