Expert+ is for people who care more about technical difficulty than playing fun songs I think.

Actually, I guess it's that for some songs which are especially difficult when ACTUALLY played on drums, they add an additional chart and shift everything accordingly. People who have a skill level approximated to a typical Expert chart may not be able to handle the Expert+ chart, while they'd be able to still play on the less-than-technically-accurate Expert chart.

And Band Hero... not sure on that one. I looked it up and it appears to be a more family-friendly game or something. Less heavy, less rock, more mainstream. Compatible with current GH DLC, and gameplay is totally the same as GH5.

expert+ just adds double bass. it's not expert because it requires optional equipment (an extra purchase). I guess they didn't want to make expert=hard and alienate players who weren't willing to make that extra purchase.

Band Hero is basically the same as GH5, except with the added feature that you can drop-in and drop-out in between the song at any time.

I've had Guitar Hero 5 for two days and I've 5*'d every song on expert. 6*'d about half of them and 8-9*'d a lot more. It's way easy of a game. First time I played the Peter Frampton song I missed 16 notes. The second time I fc'd it. This song is 13 minutes of BORING!!!
