Guitar Hero is fun, but I've recently got a chance to play GHII and I must say, it sucks balls. Bad levels. Just bad levels. They're not fun. They're just shredding. They're work. And work is not fun. Games are supposed to be opposite of work.

Misirlou is work. Work is not fun. Misirlou is not fun.

But Guitar Hero 1..... I loved it to death..... I got so good with the dual shock, I had moved on to FCing the Expert levels because Hard was actually easy. Ahhhhh..... good memories.



Same here but it certainly counts in my book. And you're so right, man, the difficulties really are inverted.

Ummm... so you're saying a song that isn't hard is... better?

And not all of that is shredding. Some of my favorite songs on there are the non-metal non-shredding songs, like Jessica (almost goddam FCed) and Rock this Town (Pain in the ass, but still fun as hell)

But using a dualshock is pretty much out in my book. The game was meant to be played with the guitar, no matter how light it is or "crappy" it is to some people.

And Misirlou does not suck balls. I find it one of the most fun to play. You know why? Its challenging.

I don't know why everyone says that The GH songs aren't good... They're the songs I know and love.

I consider playing Ozzy's Bark At The Moon a whole lot more fun than playing a techno I've never feard of from A band whose name I can't pronounce.

And by the way.... 5 STARS EVERY SONG, BOTH GAMES!!!!!! HA!!!

It's actually a bit like FFR vs. Stepmania, it depends on what entertains you.

I'm playing Hard first, to get good at HOPO's.

The songs don't seem to be ordered by difficulty at all, though...the hardest song so far IMO (I'm in the 4th group) was Woman, which is in the 1st group...

Also, what does five golden stars mean? I've gotten that on a few of them...

EDIT: Beat Hard...3 songs took me two tries to 5-star: second song in group 7 (can't remember the name), Psychobilly Freakout, and Free Bird. Free Bird I probably would've 5-starred first try if I hadn't FAILED at solo j =(

Everything else I got in one try...moving on to Expert next time.

5 Golden Stars signifies a 100% run, or Full Combo

2nd song in the 7th set is Carry Me Home. That and Psychobilly Freakout are a pain in the ass on expert. I still havent 5 starred Psychobilly Freakout, although I think my highest score is only like 2k off, which I should get with less notes missed easily.

And Freebird owns.

I has guitar Hero II now.

Awesome game so far, about an hour into it. Unlocked the 4th batch in career mode now. First thing I bought was the song "Jordan" just because I love the tune so much.

Completed story on on medium, only one or two song missed a 5 star score. Awesome end though, got well into the final encore song lol, even if it was like 7 minutes long.

Gunna 5 star those other songs and hit story on career tomorrow.
