I can't install anything into stepmania

First I'll say I have StepMania CVS (4.0) ... so if thats why none of this is working please tell me and then make fun of me.

Anyways..i cant install anything new into StepMania (except songs) into it. Whenever I try to it just says that there is something wrong with it...like a repeat file or that some dimensions are not even numbers.

Am I doing something wrong? I'm using WinRAR to extract the files. I really dont get whats going on and i want this stuff on here ;_;

If anybody can help me that would be great

Problem found. 4.0 isn't complete yet. You'll need to get 3.9 for that stuff.

EDIT: It still doesnt work. I suck at life it keeps talking about how theres multiple of things and that its referring to another file.

Hmmm....

It may be a cause of your computer disallowing newer installations into StepMania... I dunno. Try looking through the FAQ; it always helps to.

Well, i looked through sites that Stepmania referred to on their site, and the .smzip that the sites had worked fine for me. All is good now, i probably was installing them wrong from another site.

If this was about .smzip's not working, then it was your computer disallowing StepMania to unzip the file. Sometimes, it's just better downloading files in .zip.

well the smzip's worked, it was the regular zip files I was having trouble with.

Then you probably may have already installed it, although that is theoretically impossible. But, with .zip files, you need to make sure that the files go to the correct path destination. For example, if I was installing a theme, and it was in .zip format, it would need to unzip to C:/Program Files/StepMania/Themes/.
