      Thanks.

If they didn't fix sync (and it was not good on the final beta), then this is not worth playing. I'll see if BZ Naperville got a final version and test sync. I'll let you guys know when I find out.

Upgrade kits ARE available and will ship out sometime in July. As for the cost, I'm not sure. It will probably be $1,000 - $1,500. ITG2 Dedicabs may be $10,000 but the game is just "Hello pretty cool song, whoa Smiley does happy hardcore, I think I'll play Summer Speedy Mix. Playing...ROFL 16TH STREAM!!!!!"

DDR is a lot more unique, and this game will probably be worth the extra $5,000. We're not the ones paying for it.

          Re: DDRSuperNOVA RELEASED

Nobody is going to want to play on an upgrade when 75% of the Konami cabs in the U.S. have faulty pads. Betson had better better have some new pads ready that actually work (remember, the pads on the BZN dedicab beta were HORRIBLE). And like I mentioned before, the songs HAVE to be on sync, or it will fail miserably.

I played the newest beta (in fact, I'm probably the only person here other than Neonatrias that has been able to test it extensively), and sync was REALLY BAD. In fact, that may have been a prerelease of the final version, now that I look back on it. Once we hear of a new machine, somebody will have to test it for sync. But, if the pads or sync is bad on a dedicab, this game will die quickly. Mark my words.

            Re: DDRSuperNOVA RELEASED

So, here's what I've learned from playing the two different versions within the Chicago area.

            1) Fascination MaxX is like WTF hard now, since they've got it on 1.5x Reverse Solo. /cry.
            2) Fascination MaxX has Challenge steps now. They're also a 10. Unfortunately they're unselectable so far. And last I checked, there were no easier steps. This might be changed, but who knows?
            3) Xepher has Challenge steps. I haven't played them yet, but if memory serves, it's another 10.
            4) There's two Extra Stages. One of them is Fascination MaxX, the other is Healing-D-Vision, which actually sounds a lot more like Giga-****ing-delic.
            5) The Encore Stage (or OMES) is titled CHAOS. It's sinfully difficult for some very unique reasons.
            6) Pads are being worked on. The newer version had a fully functional right side which responded better than any Konami pad I've played on. The left side still freaked out sometimes.
            7) Bass and treble control still need to be fixed, I think. Badly.
            8) As nforcer said, there'd better be some sync on the final version. Or I'm gonna be pissed.

I'm hearing talk about the Extra Stage songs and the OMES. Someone said they aren't unlockable. Is this true?

                ohhhhhhh no

                oh ho hoooooo no

That would not be good for the success of this machine. It's a relatively small point in the grand scheme, but that would be a major fault.

Seriously though, I hope Konami pulls their **** together and makes this game awesome.

Who cares if the sync is off?

It's not like it's that hard to adjust to a bit early or late. Once you play the machine a bit, it'll feel natural.

Unless the actual songs vary in their degree of sync, or the timing is absurdly tight or messed up (9th style), there's no reason to complain.

                      Re: DDRSuperNOVA RELEASED

Moogy, it does vary. Some songs are dead on, while others are off by 1/2 beat, or more. In fact, it's SO bad on Healing-D Vision, that two top players currently in the Chicago area, Windeu and DJ Sterf, can't even find the beat. I couldn't find the beat on the first song in the "BeForU for U" Oni course, causing me to fail. I found it the second time around, because I knew I had to listen for it.

They should put Gambol on it.

Gambol's steps were so bad it made me lol.

DDRMAX's (US PS2) editor didn't have anything over 16th notes, so I didn't even touch it.
