    Making the transition.

I'm very into DDR, but until recently I didn't know how to gauge my skills on it because the only practice I ever got in was one game a month of ITG at my theatre. I went to Playdium and got a go at DDR again this weekend, though, and I found something frustrating.

Every Standard song is too easy for me. I purposely went through to find difficult Standard songs but playing these, I was bored. This made me think I was ready for Heavy. Haha, no. Ended a few games with heavy songs, of which I died on.

So what I'm asking is this - what are some easy Heavy/tough Standard songs I can play like crazy to get the edge to play Heavy?

Play Kind Lady on heavy. Don't look for hard Standards, look for easy Heavies.

        Are you referring to Extreme?

Anything that is a 7, maybe 8, really. Avoid D2R and Ecstasy, though. Try playing B4U, which is an easy 8.

Some 7s you might want to try are:
        Graduation
        Love Shine
        B4U B4 ZA Beat
        Candy (HAATO)
        Firefly
        Nori Nori Nori
        Sobakasu
        true (radio edit)
        Burnin' the Floor
        R3
        Drop the Bomb (System S.F.)
Look to the Sky (True Color)
        White Lovers
        Miracle Moon
        Abyss

I know it's a long list, but those are probably the ones you'll get the most out of.

Put it on standard X 2 or even X 3 if that's still too easy. If you don't know how to do that.. when you select a song, hold the center button while you pick it and then another menu will come up. Then just move the speed over with the arrows and then press the button again or hold it till you get to the end of the menu!

Use the boost to get through.

              Uh, I mean... uh...

I dunno. I could do Heavy like a month after starting DDR seriously. DDR's a really easy game for the most part.

if you wanna get to heavy look for songs that their challenge mode is easier than heavy, like Sakura. I almost passed on heavy and then I tried it on challenge right after that and still passed. So, that could help get use to heavy. Otherwise, play ITG 'til you can pass fast songs on hard or even expert

Don't pay attention to whether it's Standard or Heavy. Go by the difficulty rating.

Long, yes, but better than just doing one song over and over again. Thanks. =D

And yeah, Moogy, I can see that - I've played 3/6 songs every month or so on ITG for a year and suddenly Standard generally is boring for me.
