Ok so I'm kinda of a newb at DDR and am just learning how to do crossovers...only things is...i can't really do them...especially on songs like healing vision or...exoctic ethnicty ya know the ones where you gotta twist...can anyone fill me in on how to do those?

If you encounter arrow arrangements where you're forced to 'twist', it's better to just double step instead of trying to do crossovers. Crossovers are good for stepcharts like Sync Heavy.

But he said he was doing Exotic Ethnic. You need to crossover for that one. This is basically how to do them. Assuming the pattern is left down right down etc... you would turn left or right. (preferably right) Hit the first left with you left foot, the down with your right foot, the right with your left foot and the down with your right again. Basically, you keep one foot on the arrow that repeats, and use your other foot for the other arrows and alternate steps. It's a bit confusing, but you should get the hang of it eventually. Like Spazz said, practice on Sync or something easier.

Read the stickies...... And you should NEVER double step as it will kill you on the faster songs. Double stepping makes it harder for your PA and it makes you look dumb because you look like you are tripping over yourself. Again, read the stickies for more help on it.

I say no, people where I play my DDR call me a DDR god, I can do pretty damn near any song on heavy/challenge and AA it, and I double step all of the time. When I am doing songs that go anywhere higher than 400 for speed, I will need to crossover, other than that I use crossovers and double stepsComment
