every single time i play a song, it will randomly say "please reconnect controller back into port 1", or something like that. anyone that has one, any suggestions as in what to do? thanks

never had any problems...try cleaning the connectors and reconnecting everything...or take it to a repair shop. -

You shouldnt get the metal mat. Get the foam one. I think it is easier to move around and maybe a bit lower in quality but its worth having around the place to play DDR.
