    IIDX

I was think of buy it and I wanted to know what version to go for. The version with all the popular songs. And hard songs for when I get better.

Third (if you can find it), Fifth (also if you can find it) and Seventh Styles are all regarded well for newer players. I started with Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth, and with a bit of dedication, got pretty good at the game. Just a warning, though - Eighth only saves EX score, misses, and max combo. To most people, this is a huge turnoff, but I sit right next to VJ Army or a pad-n-paper to get my scores down.

    Good luck, buddy

I'd really like to get some of the IIDX games but I haven't found any games that aren't on the internet and that are cheap. Plus the controller is another $50 which I don't have.

8th and 9th have a large variety of songs..but their not necessarily for beginners.

And Gamepro, no import game is going to be cheap. :\
