Let's see how long I can keep this on the first page, haha.

I went awhile ago to a closer arcade. It's fairly large. It happens to be in the downstairs section of a movie rentals place on a college campus. I don't really remember when it was, Ben came too.. I passed most of the stuff I did before, but it was all much harder because it was a PREX2 machine. It basically used the DDR heath bar and "you fail when your health goes kaput" system. In short, although my scores for the most part worse, I'm pretty sure I was playing quite a bit better.

I want to go to Kraig's again. Frown. Maybe on a long weekend or something..

The first post of this thread is becoming more and more unreadable to me as time goes on. During a return visit to Pennsylvania, I stumbled across a PIU ZERO machine. The health system was faggy again, but it had some awesome songs. X Treme crazy probably has the most fun pad chart I've ever played. I don't remember if I heard the whole thing, depending on if I played it on crazy or not, but Beat of the War 2 is an amazing song.

What's funny is that I still have yet to play on an Exceed or Exceed 2 machine.

PIU Exceed for PS2 has horrible syncing issues.

        But it's very good nevertheless.

          Re: just PIU in general

I dunno about the syncing, but I didn't mind it. I played a PIU Exceed & a PIU 4 (I think) both once, but it sucked, but I sucked then. I just get the PS2 version, and I only get to as hard as 12 or 13. I only know a few machines that play PIU in Houston, TX, so I don't get the chance to work my skills on a metal pad at all. There was supposed to be a ZERO machine in a place called Planet Zero Anime Center, but it had not come yet. Hope to play the newer version of CANON-D there. I forget the difference in the Exceed console versions between the PS2 & Xbox, though.

I played PIU once. I had a hard time controlling the song selection. I couldn't find any of the cool songs by Banya, although I accidentally got myself into playing Turkey March crazy (I died during the song.) Normal was too easy.

bump for easy reference. I'm assuming no one will mind. I probably shouldn't expose my post history from pre-2004, but hey... it's worth a good laugh.

on a relevant note, I played Pump recently at a bowling alley here in Orlando. it was some newfangled version (can't remember the name) that had a bunch of ITG songs. pretty cool stuff. best part: it had a song called Pink Fuzzy Bunnies. seriously, how awesome is that?

it seems like the rhythm game craze has been going downhill for a while now, but this is as good a place as any to try to hold a discussion. has anyone played recently? oh, and could I get an insight on whatever PIU/ITG merger must have taken place?

Yeah, with more to come. I'm hoping to get on the PIU: Pro bandwagon soon, since I've shown that I can make Routine charts - something that is fairly new to the PIU: Pro scene.

i've been stuck with nx since 2007 and since any version beyond that needs a hardware upgrade the arcade here won't pay for it hehu

What a load of crap, what good is paying for a machine that expensive going to do you if you don't pay the appropriate maintenance cost? No arcade owner holding any sort of dancing rhythm game will ever make the cost that they paid for the machine back if they don't fix their machine because people simply won't play it.

HOW CAN u hit 3 panels at once? im not an octopus!! stupid octopus people. anyway, im on the local hotel comp cuz im on vacation, and visiting all my old friends, so i gotta go. c ya in a while peeeepolzzz

Actually, I think I might take a few videos of some newer charts that I've been working on for PIU. I know it's senseless since there aren't many hacked PIU machines, but still.

Hopefully Wildwood hops on the PIU bandwagon. We have pro on the boardwalk, and we have hacked ITG machiens.

But I'm curious as to how playing hacked PIU stuff would be.

And for the record. I LOVED the chart for Pink Fuzzy Bunnies for ITG.

I think it was in a "ITG 3" chart... I'm not sure who made the ITG 3 pack. It might have been Mdwg.

Either way. I don't know if it's Roxor canon, but I know the song-list was what the ITG3 songlist was SUPPOSED to be. Whether they made the charts or not I'm not so certain.

Kommi, Playdium has PUI:Pro it's awesome.

With that, I've been trying to get myself into the game. It looks real fun, but I still need to learn the patterns and all that. Once I do, I guess I can start on those harder charts.
