i was at the arcade the other day it was somewere new, diffrent ddr machines but yea there was a game that looked like a dj setup, on the screen smal bars would come up in diffrent rows and u have to push the button on the machine to mach were it was on the screen and there was also a record spinning type of thing on the side i have no idea what it was called and i loved it! lol plz help with this im so lost lol

if it has 5 buttons and a disc-like thing for spinning, then it's Beatmania.

It could also be 7 buttons, then it still is Beatmania, only a newer version.

Well there's always IIDX 7th (which just came out in japan for ps2) but you'd have to import. and the controler is quite expensive too...

I have the home controler and one of the older mixes (waiting for uncle to send 7th mix yay!) and yeah I'm really shitty too...7 key obviously, I wish I could play 14 :O but I only have 1 controler so meh...

lol if there are 5 keys then its beatmania 5th or some people call it hiphopmania... 7 keys is beatmania iidx...

beatmania is ultra 1337.

If it's 5 keys and a turntable on each side, it's Beatmania.
If it's 7 keys and a turntable on each side, it's Beatmania IIDX.
If it's 5 keys, a turntable, and a footpedal on each side, it's Beatmania III, which no one really plays anymore.

Beatmania III has three other switches though. I thought there was only 1 footpedal, in the middle? Maybe I'm wrong.

Alot of people who play Beatmania jumped on the bandwagon. : / Its hard to find someone who hasn't.
