We must regretfully inform you that the service and website of DJMAX Technika 2 and 3 Platinum Crew will be closed on 10:00 AM (KST) December 31, 2013 .

...I have no words. Does anyone know why something like this might have happened? I wasn't an avid player, but I really did enjoy the game on the very few occasions that I did play...

They've already closed down the technika 3 machines (like since summer ended I think?) in our arcade here in Toronto. i kinda feel really sad about it but I don't know the true reason behind it

pentavision merged with gameon studios, and they aren't supporting technika anymore pretty much.

they already started shutting down servers starting with technika2 last winter or so from what I can recall. in addition, there haven't been any new song or course updates since around that time, but they made the decision to keep the technika3 server up for another year.

machines and stuff will still be around of course, but with no server there won't be a way to record scores and accomplishments anymore online rip. everyone was also moving onto rerave, reflec beat, cytus, and other rhythm games, so there aren't actually that many people that play technika as there used to be when technika3 first came out.

The game started dying off after the last content update. I saw this earlier in the morning and was pretty bummed. I love this game.

I was hoping to pass Xeus MX before it went down, but that's not happening.

Maybe they weren't making enough money. The PSPVita version is quite awesome. I know I bought it ^.^;; I don't think many arcades here in the US have DJmax anything.

Monday of this week i was there, and my card wasn't working. Im really mad.

programmed sun currently has a private server for technika 3, but to connect to it requires someone to mess with the machine in person.

once connected though, all you need to do is create an account at psun, register your card, and it'll be almost like playing it when it was online, just without the weekly grinding.

quite frankly, all the support is now going towards technika Q (ios/android) and technika tune (ps vita). technika Q still receives occasional updates with new song packs every few weeks.
