I see this all to much. Usually two people camp out at the CTRL-V game and just post over and over again technically not double posting but whoring their post count. I've seen instances where people have said '<message>' then right after the person who is also whoring his post count, that person posts again saying '<same message as before> again'. We need to seriously lock this game or have it moderated for this because it gives people inaccurate post counts and the game is simply ruined and only used by post whores.

An example would be [url=http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/vbz/showthread.php?t=48732&page=193]this[url] was still going last time I checked.

To some extent I am guilty of this. But not near as much as certain people (No names will be called, it's already obvious).

A lock isn't necessary but moderation is.

There are people who post the same thing that was on their CRTL+V over and over in turns with another person.

I must admit for the first 10 posts it's fun. But after that it's rather tedious.

Also alternating between the same two people in other threads is the same case.


I.E. We should enforce a new Game Section rules such as...

- A cap as to how many times you can post in any given thread per day.
- A limit as to how many posts must be between an older post and the one you are about to make.

I honestly think we need a mod who's job is to moderate the game forum. Finding someone who would be good for the job and would live up to their expectations is another story.

i am also guilty for some of the control v post whoring. sorry. however if some threads get out of control, then i think spinal's idea of capping allowed posts per day is good. on the contrary even though its frequent some players are only playing.

It the aspects of rating games it's the fact that no one else is given a chance to evaluate anyone except those who whore up the thread.

For the CTRL+V it's the fact that your whoring to cheaply increase your post count.

In all aspects game threads are made to be fun for everyone not just the two or three who spam up the thread.

Guido once said "who cares about the post count?" (I you want I can find the quote). I then say "Why do we care that much about postwhores?". Yes I post a crapload of posts per day. Who cares? I'm not double posting, I'm not spamming and I'm following the rules. I'm not gonna whine if they close the game threads but as long as they are, I'll post in them alot.

but isnt us posting in here after the main point has been made also whoring? if that be the case should i open a game thread for asking these contreversial questions? and would that even belong in the "game threads"

I just recently started posting in the game threads and I find posting in them can be pretty damn fun while listening to music. The majority of the time I'm following the rules, but sometimes I might bend them a little to add a humorous aspect to my posts, such as posting the same thing a few times. Other than a few humorous posts I've been really good about following the rules and try hard to enforce them.

I only had 100 something posts and it seemed like my posts weren't quite getting the merit they deserved, which inspired me to start posting in the game threads. I got carried away, I'm sorry, from now on I'm never going to post in any game thread unless it follows the rules 100 percent. I'll be sure to call on others who break rules, no matter what the circumstance. Forgive me if my post is too wordy, I've been up for a while.

Hate to break it to you, but, you did post the same thing over and over, for the sole purpose of upping post count. Let's not post right after each other anymore in the avatar/signature threads, it's giving us bad reps, it's immature, it's not really fun to do, and abusing them goes beyond participating, it's considered postwhoring. I agree with spinal, it does get tedious.
