The only place postcounts should be disabled are in the Game forum.

There is no good reason to include Chit Chat, the Newbie Forum and TGB in this, and postcounts should remain in tact in those forums as far as I am concerned.

Ahahahah you don't seem to know forums do you. Reputation is a horrible thing to implement. People don't give reputation to people who make good posts, people give reputation to those they "like" or "dislike".

Essentially what you're saying is you want the most popular people in FFR Profiles to be the most "respected" here, as that's all that will happen.

"OH HOT GIRL +REP +REP"
"OH GOD I DONT LIKE HIM -REP ALL HIS POSTS"
etc.

It stops people looking at the actual content of the post and more about who is posting it. I know this from experience and seeing it happen in former forums I have been on. It's a massive circle-jerk.

Also, I'm pretty sure I already rebutted your suggestion to disable post-count in CC and other sections you deem "unsuitable". I'll reiterate just in-case. Just because you dislike TGB and CC does not mean they shouldn't give towards post-count. Both forums provide active discussion and, although all sections have some sort of post-whoring, that is to be expected but ultimately monitored and (if needed) action taken by staff to control the worst of it.

The only section that possibly needs post-count monitored is the games section if only for the valid reason that 90% of all posts and threads are one word or one sentence and very few threads actually contribute a discussion or anything worthwhile.

Okay, now, seriously. I can't believe some of the mindnumbingly dumb games y'all are coming up with, so I'm going to have to add the stipulation that if you're going to make up a new forum game, make sure it's not something devised to entertain a three year old and just converted to forum form.
