    Re: D&D Anyone?

Depending on schedule, I'd be up to play. What version are we using? 3.5? Pathfinder?

I could possibly DM but it would need to be at a time convenient for me.

I made an account on roll20.

D&D 3.5 is the considered the standard in the dungeons and dragons line of formats. Versions 4 and 5 (made following D&D's acquisition by Wizards of the Coast), while playable, deviated from the 3.5's format in ways that irked many gamers. Here's a comprehensive source for the rules of 3.5: http://www.d20srd.org/

Pathfinder was made by Paizo, a company that contributed some material to 3.5. After 4th edition's release, many gamers were clamoring for a different followup to 3.5. Paizo created Pathfinder to fill that niche. Many gamers even refer to the system as 3.75 or 3.P. I prefer Pathfinder because it made a few balance changes that I agree with and also took a daunting amount of 3.5 material and condensed it into a learnable stack of rules. I personally prefer pathfinder because while there are gamebreaking exploits, they are easy to root out. I liked how there are often multiple ways to build different classes that were all great, and I liked that taking many levels of a base class was a good thing rather than a hindrance to the op abilities of a select few prestige classes. I also just like the tiny buff to everything over their 3.5 counterparts. It made the heroes feel more heroic to me. Material for Pathfinder: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/

You'd do best to start with D&D 5th edition, because that one was specifically made to easily be picked up, and was also made to build on the concepts of D&D 3.5

ok so if you're interested in doing this, you need to devote yourself. the players handbook is like 300 pages long, and you kinda need to know a lot of it.
