HalfStep, alloyus, Ignatius Flamebearer III, Elmerz, and Lucien enter the Bazaar.

A hearty-looking man about 45 years of age eyes each of them carefully. He then immediately makes up his mind. He points at HalfStep and says confidently, "you're an archer", and then points at the other four people and says, "and you four lads are warriors."

HalfStep looks surprised and asks, "how did you know what class we would like to be before we asked you?" The man replies in a serious manner, "I've been in this business a long time, kid. I know a lot about people just by the way they dress and the way they carry themself."

The other four decide not to question him further and all four look to the shelves to see what's in stock.

There's a shelf full of red potions, a shelf with both a regular bow and a crossbow, which carry arrows separately, a shelf with spears, a shelf with both one-handed and two-handed maces, and a shelf with shields, one-handed swords, and a broadsword.

The man says, "what would each of you like?"

Meanwhile, a young man by the name of Xiz steps into the tavern. People sit on near tables across the room. There are sounds of cheering and laughter, and it seems like everyone is having a great time. The bar tender greets him with a smile and motions for him to sit down on a stool in front. He asks jovially, "Do you want some beer? It's 20 sharps a jug!"

I buy a broadsword and a potion, and accept guests invitation to join him on his venture west on one condition: we share everything equally, loot and items, unless deemed that one of us needs an item more than the other.
