    Conversation Between _____ and _____

I was bored. I remembered the user Mans0n who used to post here about 2 years ago. So I searched on Google to see if he had gone anywhere else (I was bored)

AND THEN I stumbled upon this weird page on FFR, about conversations between him and Coolboyrulez01: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...4930&u2=988877

I'm guessing those were the (hilariously bad) messages the Mans0n left on the comment wall of CBR. If that's what it is, I'm guessing this functionality is pretty cool, but how do we use it? Am I the only one not aware of this?

Just take the FFR user's ID and then copy it in I guess within the URL. That should work.

This is going to be a dumb question but...

How do you find these ID's? Where do you put them?

Hm, it doesn't work for me.

How weird, this conversation changed the font into Comic Sans : http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...8188&u2=875329

You can see id when you send a PM to another user.
The order you place user id as an effect on what will be displayed but I really don't understand how it works.

rightclick a forum user's name and hit copy link

          http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...edirect.php?u=1458233
          ^this is yours
          Your ID is in bold

edit: @noname, if you go under the UserCP there are settings for the old profile system. One of you has it set up to Comic Sans, I'm certain.
edit2: the order specifies who's "wall" it is on.

When you click on Hide User Customizations, the text turns back to normal. o_O That's weird.

It's probably not even the wall on user profiles. The link has "vbz" in it, so it has to be somewhere in the forum section, but where ?
Did we have a shoutbox module or something similar in the forum back in 2008 ? Nah, it's probably a top-secret pm function directly between users on the forum or something.

edit: I was able to send some of those "visitor messages", they appear as notifications but you cannot access them.

Re: Conversation Between _____ and _____

VB comes with a visitor message software so you can access forum profiles and chat between them. Our FFR profile system kind of gets behind it and makes it hard to get to, but it's still usable. It's pretty hidden though since you can't really access forum profiles.

edit: it seems visiting the forum profiles redirects to the ffr profile even without the redirect link tricking you.
http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/....php?u=1810869 <- My forum profile, it auto-redirects to my FFR profile
http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/....php?u=1810869 <- redirect link you see on the forums naturally

edit2: I'm pretty sure you can still use it via the conversation system MarioNintendo rediscovered. No it's not possible
edit3: actually I was able to send a message so I guess it's possible?

If I were to post I would need this link: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...037&u2=1810869
If noname were to post he would need this link: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...869&u2=1211037

it's pretty unorthodox but it works
