Time To Eye [11 or 12]

Ah yes, the "borderline" FGO that is known to cause arguments.

The way I see this, this should be a high FMO, since there are only around 7-8 seconds of mid-low FGO patterns. The rest is comparable to Captain Murasa's Ass Anchor or Gacha Gacha Mate (which are 10s).

And, like always, comparing it to Crowdpleaser/RunnyMorning makes the rating more accurate. (Both feature a few seconds of patterns WAY ABOVE their current rating, but the rest is far below.)

And, although I can't force you to, please try to refrain from being biased if this is your only FGO AAA.
The above post has a 50% chance of being useless. Potentially. Maybe.

BEST AAAs: WANDERLUST, Pandora, Necropotence, Mourning The Lost, Eradication, Feldschlacht

11, ALWAYS. I've argued this to be an 11 for SO long. I was the reason why the file got dropped to an 11 when it was released, and I've advocated the 11 rating since. It's barely got any FGO-worthy content, and the speed of which the patterns have to be done don't push any sorts of extremes whatsever.

Only real hard parts are the trill transitions into the 48th rolls. You mess them up, your score becomes messy, but they can be nailed without ridiculous difficulty.

Agreed on it being an 11. This is nowhere near comparable to a case like Crowdpleaser.

I will cry if this is made an 11. For me the file is nearly uncomboable and one of the hardest low FGO's for me, Across Rooftops and Tageri seem way easier in comparison. I've given my statement about why the first part is mid FGO, where the rest of the file is low VC, true. It's a song that's very dependent on what the player can do. Someone like me with extreme issues with one handed trills finds this file impossible, especially since the transitions are icky and put tons of pressure on the left hand. You need to immediately jump into the roll wall of of 16th one handed jumptrills and broken 24ths, if you can't handle that this file is extremely difficult. Those warrant low FGO, but the rest of the file is so low low VC that it's been advocated an 11.

I'm extremely torn on how to rate files that contain one handed trills, since I'm so bad at them that I view the pattern, regardless of skill, as something more difficult than most patterns. I'm not sure if it's me being objective or I'm so bad at them that I only have a subjective opinion. If a player is good at them, some files could be up to 2 difficulty ratings apart in their mind. For me, Time to Eye, due to icky transitions, speed, 12ths jacks out of the chain, 4 quite long and just fast enough one handed trills into broken 24ths and a 48th roll wall is enough for me to say low FGO.
It's getting better all the time

The teachers who taught me weren't cool (No, I can't complain)

Filling me up with your rules (Oooh)

I score considerably worse on Time to Eye than on most low FGOs and high FMOs. To me, it's definitely a 12, but I have a LOT of trouble with the type of transitions in this file so perhaps I am biased? idk

I agree with you Stavie. The long jack is NOT easy (not sure why it constantly gets overlooked). The jumptrill to burst combo is incredibly demanding. 2 FGO parts = FGO to me. It doesn't matter what the rest of the song is like (and the rest isn't a complete pushover anyway).
