    played rave about 4 times. change my mind. definitely stays at FSO. it's such a dick to combo let alone attempt to PA. Those framered jacks (which framed makes them 1 frame at times which is like 240 bpm or something) are just a mess.

      Rave7 doesn't have any 1 frame minijacks but definitely does have a crapload of 1 frame/zero frame intervals. It's a little over 200 bpm.

        personally it's a 13. I don't have much speed, but I can't hit like any section of it, period. And though it might just be that DP was here when I started playing and Rave7 is new, but I'm a lot more comfortable hitting DP than I am Rave7.

        and tbh I haven't even played the whole thing yet. It's so fast I just give up every time.

          There's only like, 4 files that have 1 frame jacks in FFR. vrofl, Crowdpleaser, RATO, Gigadelic... any others?
          Rave7 definitely has a handful of 2 framers though.

            I really don't have much to say about the difficulty about rave7, it feels like a very very high 12, if not borderline 13. However if I compare it to a file like Metro (13), it's a 13.

            Like what Dossar said, 13 was never really used and it's usually took as a joke scale.

            Also it's an ass to combo haha, it's really hard to combo and I think that should be took account.

                I say it's a 13, stream is easy for fast players, but the 2nd half of the file is aids in 24 seconds.

                  Considering I have 70 less goods on do I smile than on rave and that do I smile has 700 more notes than rave, I'd say rave is much more harder to PA than do I smile. But then again, everyone has a different skillset so I guess some people would find rave easier to PA.

                  I personally would be in favor of bumping some FGO's up considering I have a better PA on rave than on some FGO's.

                    I'm in favor of lowering Rave7 to a 12 because only the transitions are hard..

                    It's not all out insane like Death Piano in its jumpgluts or Metro where it's just stamina draining.

                      I'd say this would qualify as a very high 12. While still intensely difficult, with constant bursts, jumpgluts and rolls and trills that are hard to PA, the beginning half of the song is not overtly difficult, and the second half of the song is manageable with the short breaks in between sections albeit having disgusting transitions.

                        I can't see any reason to lower this to a 12. It's a legitimate 13. The only reason I can see someone wanting to lower this is because they compare it to DP and RATO and see those songs as the cut off. I think it's ridiculous to want to lower this, and I don't understand why we aren't trying to raise some of the other songs. I know I'm not the greatest player, but I'm not bad, and I find this song hard to even combo. It's just insane to have frictional nevada-do I smile in the same difficulty, but then you guys want to put rave7 in there too? Come on.

                          I have no right to say whether this is a 12 or 13. The most trustworthy and accurate descriptions of the difficulty of this song are explained by people such as Halogen and Dossar. Since they can actually play the file and read it well, I would definitely trust their judgment above all others. Therefore, I say this file is a 13. If you're someone who can only AAA a difficulty of 10 or 11 max, I do think you don't have much of a say in what the difficulty of a file like this may be. This is just my strong opinion and it makes good sense. Common sense.

                            While I cannot say anything about the stamina-requirement of Metro, I can tell by just looking at the file that the transitions in Rave7 completely destroy it.

                            Even without the 13 scale being expanded, this should be a low 13.

                              I'm in favor of keeping it a 13. people have compared the ridiculous parts of DP and RATO, and rave7 doesn't have those 'omg' parts that they have (except the couple of screenshots dossar took for the official). instead of saying that that makes rave7 a 12, i'd argue that makes DP and RATO high-13s and rave7 low/mid 13. I guess i can make a comparison to two 10s: witches hat, low 10, and vertex beta. big range for sure. Keeping more 13s in the game will end up defining the difficulty.
                              also the density of rave7, combined with the speed, adds to it being a 13 imo
