Legacy standalone

Is anybody elses legacy engine acting funny? Mine is taking like 5 minutes to even start up and it has loaded about 1 out of 10 songs I have tried once it finally did

It's been laggy for me lately, but it might just be because I formatted recently and still haven't installed all that crap that makes the system stable lol

well now it seems to be getting gradually better, maybe I should have just been patient lol

Which version of it are you using?

Edit: Ooops, I meant standalone version. Different versions can affect how much lag you have. But yes, I agree, the legacy engine is slower than usual for me either way.

I just realized mine was acting slow because I'm, well, using my internet bandwidth for something else.

Are you downloading anything?

I am doing nothing different then I normally do, I only ever have my standalone running and a firefox page for ffr.

I use flash 9 I might try switching actually never thought of that, I heard flash 9 was the best though

flash 11 does the same thing...literally every single thing is working perfectly normal except standalone, I even set it to unlimited memory for data usage and set my processor for standalone to realtime

For some reason it is way more laggy on this computer the legacy, and I am better with legacy.

actually now that I check legacy is doing the exact same thing...guess It's my computer, hope I'm not screwed and it will fix itself because I have tried everything, I have shutdown my computer twice now too

Hmmm I see. One thing that can help is just having nothing else open. For me, I have to close down everything: chrome/skype etc. Clear your cache.

I've never had much success with putting a program on realtime priority; it usually causes more problems for me. If I'm desperate I use the one above it.

I don't have that great of an internet connection, so when someone hogs bandwidth in my house it noticeably affects everyone else. If it's not a bandwidth problem, not a problem with a process (in the task manager) eating up your CPU, not a problem that can be fixed by rebooting, and not a problem with the FFR website, then I have no clue .

Unless it's Vista, then you just have a problem.

Flash 9 with legacy standalone works perfectly fine for me.

Win 7 64bit.

Turn off your Aero by switching to 7 basic or classic theme.

this may be a dumb question but how do you use internet explorer login for standalone? I haven't been able to save replays or use tokens this whole time but I'm hoping it might help with this somehow
