I think there's a mistake on FFR's gaming section.
Let me explain:
I was doing one of my favorite FFR songs, Moonlight Sonata, in the Classical Section. I am fairly good at that song, and made it through the entire way without missing a single step. I got 178 perfects, 21 goods, and 1 average. With a score like that, I'm bound to have a pretty high ranking, right? Wrong. I figured that that was okay, 40th percentile wasn't that bad. But then I looked at the scoring set.
My score was about 350,000 (I'm not sure of the exact number, but it was no higher than 430,000). The highest score was over 900,000. With a step score like mine, it is impossible to be that far off from the main person. After I added it up, I realized I was right. It's impossible to make a score of 900,000 on that song. I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's not possible to get 900,000 on that song. If I am wrong, please tell me how. Is there some sort of bonus for getting all perfects on a song?
Whatever it is, I don't think that's right. If there are hackers on the game, then it skews the ratings, which just ruins the fun. Part of the FFR magic is the idea that you get to see how you compare to hundreds of thousands of other players. Beating out massive numbers of people makes you full of a sense of pride. Learning that you got beaten by someone who hacked their way to the top doesn't give you that feeling. I just want this game to be hacker-free so that people can see what their REAL ranking is. C'mon people, play fair.
If I am wrong, and just up here making a fool of myself, please explain how I'm wrong, because I'm really at a loss here....
