        As in my previous comment, TS is written in AS3. AS3 supports high speed rendering really well.

            ohhhh, gotcha.

            EDIT: Turning off Aero helped a little, I can play and FC things now. The lag is still bad though, no way I can PA anything... (Standalone with game booster)

                Option 1: New computer, yours is old

                Option 2: Run vista for best performance instead of best graphics: click
                On a flash 9 standalone, make sure you go into settings on the swf and uncheck hardware acceleration.

                Option 3: Quit.

                My experience with gamebooster leads me to believe that it's useless if you're running windows classic for 7 or best performance for vista.

                        reboot, turn off aero, use a standalone, use game booster 2.2, turn off anti-virus programs and other programs that babysit your computer or greedily use its resources whenever it wants

                                I just randomly fixed all lag issues I had with FFR (it'd become unplayable) by reverting to flash 9... Which is no surprise really because for me the lag shitstorm started when I installed 10 for TS. I'm now using this firefox addon for the flash version switching now.

                                OTOH I wouldn't recommend firefox for rythm games because lately it occasionally freezes the keyboard stream for a sec, which is really annoying. I just use FF cos I hate google software and IE is out of the question. There's probably more tools like this around for different browsers though.

                                Other than the flash compatibility vista might have something to do with it (turning off aero and such effects is always a good idea), but that was already suggested.
