FFR Available again!... or maybe not?

After like 2 years without this site running i decided to type in the searcher for it again. For my surprise I could join in again. So I just wrote my name and password, entered the game and did some changes in my old -not updated- profile.
After all the crap and irrelevant info i changed i decided to go to play the game a bit.
I saw my settings, i saw the new features and i picked a random song.
I waited to the arrows to appear and then.... MISS MISS MISS MISS .
I'm 100% sure i clicked the correct key, in the correct time (For the love of God, i consider myself Skilled in this kind of games)
So I came to the conclusion: Hey, the settings are not updated.
I changed the game keys to: 1-2-3-4 [for left, down, up, right]
And played the same song again.
Wait for the arrows aaaaaaaaaaaand- MISS MISS MISS MISS MISS MISS
Funny thing is that when there are no arrows in the screen, if i press a key it still count as a BOO.
So can anyone tell me what's happening and how can I play this <great> game again?

Thx and sorry if my lack of English' language knowledge made this thread hard to understand/read.

click set speed in the settings to prevent this from happening

also make sure the settings arnt set to have the arrows hidden
