    Playback videos; intentional?

Sorry if this was asked before or anything of the sort.

When watching various playback videos, it seems that the PA results don't match what's happening in the playback. Is it my comp or something, or was this intentional to "compare with other scores"? Because I played one song only once and there's nothing to compare it to.

It's either a) it's a bug; or b) it's comparing to another score of mine; or c) it's comparing it to another person's score.

If it's c, what the hell is the point in that?

Again, sorry if this was answered before, just wondering.

It's a bug. See, back in the day there was an avmiss bug in FFR, where you would get an average and a miss immediately afterwards. I don't know exactly how to explain how it happens. The replay feature was created before the bug was fixed, and it's still affected by it. The game itself no longer has it, but the replays still do.

If you want your replays to play back exactly like the score you get, play through here: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...erway_5234.swf
It's a version of FFR that still has avmisses implemented in it. You can probably understand it more rather than listening to me explain it horribly xD

In other words, it's not your computer, it's the replay entirely

      Explanation:

Avmisses would only happen when there are at least two close repeated notes (aka. "jacks"). They would've needed to be close enough for their hit-frames to overlap (about .16 seconds apart or less). If you hit the first arrow too late, the game would have interpreted that hit as "aiming" for the second note. Most of the time, you would get an early Average on the second note and miss the first note completely, hence the name "avmiss".

The game has the glitch fixed, but the replays don't due to the fact that they technically aren't run off of the same thing.
