An Issue I'm Having With the Site

In the past couple months, I've noticed that sometimes I get the following error, usually caused by doing something like clicking on a forum thread:



I've been ignoring it for a while, since re-loading the page or closing my browser fixes the issue. But now, it seems to be affecting me in other areas and in increasing frequency. In addition, I noticed that I'm now unable to report any posts I find breaking the rules, because each time I click the submit button, it gives me the error.


Is this an issue that other people are getting, or is this coming from my end? And if so, is there a way to get this fixed?

I wouldn't mention it if it wasn't preventing me from reporting posts - it makes me think there's a specific issue going on, most likely on my end, although why that would be I'm not sure - hence why I am asking those who do.

I get it every time I try to report a post. I've been unable to report trolling/flaming posts and have recently resorted to PM'ing a moderator. Otherwise, I generally don't receive the message.

Hmm...well judging by the below posts, it's nice to hear it's not something wrong with my computer. I wonder if the admins know about it - I'm sure they do. I hope they'll be able to take a look at it, because I can't always IM a mod or PM them fast enough.

Hmm...it appears to be working for Safari, although I'm not sure if it's a result of it working for that browser only, or if it's now working for everybody. I'll go test it and see.

EDIT: It suddenly works...I guess I just had bad timing in reporting posts. The admins and mods can feel free to lock this thread now.

I don't have it. Plus, it lags so badly with FFR, I almost get a headache playing the game.

I never get it from trying to report a post... but I do get it a lot in general from just general browsing. It's annoying. Should be fixed. But, that error isn't specific enough to help narrow down why the DB is dying.

I use FF, newest beta's... on Ubuntu and Vista. I notice no difference between operating systems.

I use Vista and FF3 (most of the time, occasionally I'll use Safari if FF3 is acting up with FFR, etc). As I stated before, get it mostly with either reporting posts or viewing a thread, similar to the places you stated. I agree, it is rather annoying; perhaps there is an issue with the DB itself that causes this.

P.S The issue is back again for Firefox. >_>
