Lock threads after a certain time period

Say after one week or something to prevent unwanted bumping of ancient threads.

I agree.

All "important"/"bumpable" threads can just be stickied.

However, I think automating this involves more than what staff is willing to do, or something like that. <- I meant what TeRa said. vB.

It'll give them something else to do other than locking, banning, moving, etc.

This has to do with vB, they probably aren't able to implement this, also one week is a bit to little.

Not to mention, some forums are slower moving than others. In CT, long bumps are actually allowed with enough reason. In Chit Chat, it's kinda pointless. You'd have to do them individually. A year would be good?
