    Random Credit Gift Idea

Hey, I don't know how popular this idea will be but I think it would be nice if there were a random credit gift page.

    It would work like this.

Whenever you feel like giving away some credits, you could go here, type in the amount of credits, click the submit button, and they would then be given to a random member of flashflashrevolution.

What would be even better is if there were options that let you pin down requirements of who is eligible for receiving your credits. For example, you could specify that only someone with more than 1000 credits but less than 10000 may receive your credit gift, etc...

Also, good options to me look like upper and lower bounds for each of the following:
overall rank, average rank, credits, grand total score, number of skill tokens, number of public AAAs, number of public FCs

The defaults would be that it doesn't matter on any of those and everyone is eligible.

So if you like rewarding people for playing well, maybe give a random credit gift to someone who has more than a certain amount of AAAs.

On the other hand, if you don't want to reward someone who already has tons of credits, maybe specify they need less than 20,000 credits or something.

Even if this is a good idea I don't expect it to be implemented any time soon. It is just a suggestion for a new idea.

Also, you could have a small notification next to your name that you have been randomly selected to win X amount of credits.

What does FFR think of this idea?

Interesting idea, but I think it would be challenging to be able to sort out eligible users.

well it sounds good overall. however, what if it's given to an inactive player.

I like it because it helps expand the site, but I don't understand why we'd make it.

            Re: Random Credit Gift Idea

To clarify a little, instead of a new icon next to your name, it'd probably be easier if it just sends the user a private message letting them know they won the credits so they don't just wonder where all these shiny new credits came from and it would save on the coding a little.

Also, if it goes to an inactive player then it does. That's just how it works. You could reduce this chance by requiring a high grand total score or something along those lines which would be more indicative of someone who plays frequently.

Also, it may be too much of a drain on the server implemented as it is. If it is then maybe the idea can be reworked a bit so that it's not. Any suggestions?

decent idea. But there is too high a chance of an inactive player receiving it. Maybe if you added a rule that it only applies to players active within the last 2 days?

Well, if it's not too much trouble, I suppose an additional option could indeed be when the user was last active. So leave it blank to go to anyone or else select from a drop down box of various times.
