ok people who are mad at me, please read this.

i said it was a stuck up answer, not the person saying it was stuck up, i meen sometimes i get told my answers are a little strong so i apologize and dont make a big deal out of it, my bad. by the way, im not saying this in a smart tone so please dont take it that way, if you heard the way i would like to be SAYING it, you probly wouldnt have gotten mad....misbenifits of typing...

also i told Rzr that becouse there was no point in changing the subject to correct my grammar, i meen it was kinda pointless...anyway yea im not meening to get on anyones nerves but thats so easy to do, that sometimes it happens by accident. people need to not take things so seriously, im really not smarting off or meening bad things.

basically, the answers given by our regulars are all the potential issues it could be. keyboard, Vista, video card, lag, etc etc.

things to try: re-mapping to different keys, updating to newest flash if you aren't running it... and, lastly, upgrading to XP from Vista, although few would want to do that for FFR.

so...anyone know how to set hotkeys?...and if i set them does it stay that way for every website or only this? and if it does ill need to know how to set them back afterwards.

When you set them it changes the keys used for the game, doesn't do anything to your computer. Click on Settings in the FFR game screen (where you set your speed mod) and it should be at the bottom right-hand corner.

EDIT: Again, Midday's answer was not stuck up. You are interpreting what she is saying incorrectly which is understandable as you can't pick up on tone on the internet.

When you do key map, try it all around the board. Perhaps it's certain keys that are broken.

I have the same problem as the original poster with the arrow keys. had to reconfigure (sdkl) to fix it. try a different config and you should be fine

Tupacodaman: first off, sorry if i misspelled that name lol, anyway thanks. if i had gotten a message like that in the very beginning a big mess could have been avoided. thanks.

by the way people i know WHY i didnt get that answer right away, so please dont tell me why...midday and i talked through comments on our pages. however i knew what the problem was before that so anyway...yea apperently there is a rule that says you arent allowed to use bad grammar on the forums, which i have to say is pretty pointless but whatever, that explains Rzr. just as i should have been more clear of what the problems were NOT, Rzr probly shoulda told me that was a rule of the forums.

alright, after way more hassle then needed, my problem is solved. turns out it was that the arrow keys themselves shouldnt be used to play ffr, otherwise they wont process fast enough and eventually will ignore you are pressing buttons. so yea, i used to not like when people used hotkeys, i figured i would do it they way its meant to be done, but apperently that way is the way its meant to NOT be done lol...but yea, to wrap all this up.....



PROBLEM SOLVED! now i can finally lose those same songs becouse i CANT HIT the notes and get better.

Actually, you just need to remap your keys. See, my computer does the same thing, and sometimes you may have noticed a beep noise from your tower... if not, its still likely the same thing. Your keyboard can't read you hitting so many notes either too fast or at the same time, therefore try remapping your keys to either WASD, or the number pad.

If that doesn't work, your keyboard is just outdated...

Actually, I think this happens to me sometimes as well except it isn't a 100% thing. Sometimes it plays fine. Other times it seems it isn't registering my hits on the same song simply on a different play of that song.

And it usually happens if I legitimately miss one then it won't register the next few on that particular arrow. And it only happens on songs with lots of arrows and in places with lots of arrows. And it doesn't even always happen or always happen at the same places.

I don't know if it's me, my keyboard, my computer, or ffr or if I'm just imagining things.

All I know is it doesn't seem to happen in Stepmania. (Although I will say at least FFR has never crashed my computer. Stepmania has.)

I wouldn't even have mentioned it except it sounds similar (if not exactly the same) to this problem here.

The four keys I press can be pressed simultaneously so that isn't an issue. And yes I am aware about keyboard limitations. I know for fact they can be pressed simultaneously because it works in other programs (Stepmania, for example).

I just don't let it bother me so much though. Just play other songs.
