I've probably missed the error for this since i've just now started playing FFR again, but I'll play a really difficult 12 step song such as one minute waltz and say get a 500+ combo going and miss a few notes here and there etc. I'll go to view the playback however, and it will have misses everywhere and show a really really crappy playback of what I just did. Why is this? Are the arrows just too fast for the video to keep up or something?

There used to be a major glitch called an average-miss (avmiss for short). Basically, when two arrows were too close together (there are many instances of this in OMW), hitting the first arrow too late would cause you to run into the second one instead. So what happens is that the game records you hitting the second arrow as an average and getting a miss on the first arrow.
The bug was fixed for the game only. Replays still show the bug.

we will eventually fix it for replays. it's just that replays are a different engine that FFR... which means it's a completely different fix. and it isn't as simple.RIPComment

Could that glitch possibly be what was being referred to in the "AAA" definition of the FFR Terms And Definitions section of the FAQ? I followed the link to the thread with the difficulties, but didn't see the list of songs with the glitch in them. Perhaps it was because the glitch was fixed?Comment

replays are really important i use them in some sites to show off the game to people
i just made my way yesterday to this forum/group of israeli IDDR players
and trying to show them our site but all my replays are gay
but its not that bad can still post replays that blows peoples minds
