I would like to suggest a good Screen Shot downoad

    http://www.wisdom-soft.com/downloads/downloadfiles.htm

    Download the screenhunter 5 plus

You can easily set it to take a screenshot on a hot key.
You can easily send the photo to your pictures by redirecting where the image goes!

It is way easier than having to do this
    1. Press the Print Screen button on your keyboard.(For Mac users it is Command+Shift+3. For all who don't know, Command is the apple button.)
    2. Go into Paint (Start>Programs>Accessories) or another imaging program and hit Ctrl-V, which should make the screenshot pop up on the screen.
    3. Save the screenshot somewhere in your computer.

does it crop the images for you? i can't stand poorly cropped or uncropped images.

even worse is when someone TRIES to crop it, and forgets to remove the excess white space from the initial image, thus saving it and having 75% of the image be white and the real image is shrunk and tiny and unreadable.

What do you mean, I will explain, umm you can set it when you take the picture to make it a .jpg instead of .bmp

When you click and drag the box or circle/whatever you choose, It will capture what ever you choose. Note. the little zoom thing next to the drag spot just shows you how precise you can be.

It leaves the actual size and does it clearly.

EX. I used this to show you the stuff

Re: I would like to suggest a good Screen Shot downoad

You click or press whatever is highlighted red.
                    printscreen desired image:

mah FFR keys are all bloodeh =P.

                    open a paint doc:

Press CTRL + V to paste the SS. Trim it down to desired size. Then save it to your desktop (JPG is standard, but PNG has very good picture quality)

Then go to photobucket(create an account if you don't have one) and click highlighted buttons. Select the image from a pop up list and it will automatically upload.

Finally, click the IMG code and it will copy automatically, then just paste into FFR.

The whole process takes like 10 seconds for 1 SS, you can't get much faster than that.

Paint seems easier, but good find I guess.

Ctrl+R, Enter, Ctrl+V, Drag Corner, Ctrl+S, 'adfasfawe,' Enter... Less than 5 seconds of work.

SnagIt costs money and provides a bunch of unnecessary features for someone who just wants an easy way to capture screenshots for FFR.

Good find, darkness. This is really easy to use; press the hotkey, and you can select a box of whatever you want "screenshotted," and it'll automatically save it to a directory of your choice in either GIF, BMP, or JPG format (I would've preferred PNG, but JPG is fine for this sort of thing, as its limitations such as lack of transparency support don't matter). This is definitely MUCH easier than using Paint, even if it takes only 5 seconds to do so.

Tass, you should definitely try it out.

It's amazing how lazy people need to be in order to download a program like this. I honestly don't see what it's wrong with the print screen - paint method. It takes less than 30 seconds to do.

It's like buying an escalator to install in your house because you're too lazy to walk up the stairs. (Examples in my head are akin to a bee sting, painful and I die inside a little when it happens).
